NEW YORK, June 12 (Reuters) - An international technical body put its stamp of approval on Thursday to wireless Internet technology that can transmit data two to five times faster than existing short-range network gear known as "Wi-Fi."
The Institute of Electrical Electronics Engineers, a technology standards-setting body, said in a statement it had approved the news network standard, called 802.11g.
